Greetings! I'm thrilled to have joined Bryant West Psychology as a Psychology Postdoctoral Fellow, where I work with children, adolescents, and adults in individual and couples psychotherapy. I am deeply committed to working closely with you to provide support and healing, using skills I have garnered through my extensive training in best practices in psychotherapy. I work with people of diverse backgrounds and a variety of issues, with a specialty in depression, anxiety, and complex trauma, as well as relationship struggles within one’s family, intimate relationships, and work.
My approach is firmly rooted in evidence-based practices, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). These methods empower clients to navigate life's transitions, such as identity crises, grief, sexual orientation, and gender identity, with resilience and clarity.
In my practice, I foster a growth mindset within a warm, inclusive environment where change and self-exploration flourish. I am passionate about helping clients, regardless of their background, understand the patterns perpetuating negative feelings or unproductive behaviors, creating a safe space to confront challenges and achieve meaningful transformation.
Having earned my doctorate at St. John’s University and gained experience in diverse settings, including private practice, universities, hospitals, and schools, I bring a wealth of knowledge to tailor therapeutic approaches to your unique needs. I’ve worked in private practice, helping college students address the challenges of independence and self-exploration. I provided trauma-focused therapy to child and parent dyads who survived childhood sexual abuse. I’ve offered bedside therapy to pediatric oncology patients who faced challenges of health, grief, and chronic stress. I spent several years working in the school setting, counseling and assessing children 4-18. All these experiences leave me well-equipped to help you face life’s challenges, whatever they may be.
My therapy is culturally responsive, acknowledging the complexities of race, gender, and culture. I am deeply committed to helping you explore your values, learn from life's challenges, and develop a deeper understanding of yourself. Together, we can embark on a journey of growth and empowerment, where you will be inspired to take control of your life and make positive changes.
