It isn’t easy being human.
In recent years, we have all faced challenges that have tested our resilience. Anxiety has become more common, loneliness has surged, burnout is widespread, and many of us are feeling more disconnected than ever. Strengthening our ties to ourselves, each other, and the greater
community is key to addressing these issues. At the heart of emotional well-being is human connection and the therapist-client relationship—built on mutual trust and understanding—can be a beacon for improving your interactions beyond the therapeutic space.
In individual and group psychotherapy, I have helped adolescents and adults navigate a range of mental, emotional, and relational challenges, such as depression, anxiety, trauma, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), life transitions, and issues related to sense of self - all in the context of living in a world of greater uncertainty and instability.
I have also worked with specific populations, including immigrants, asylum-seekers, and the LGBTQIA community. My training includes interpersonal psychodynamic psychotherapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and other evidence-based modalities
based on each client’s needs. This may consist of Somatic Experiencing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction, and other behavioral and relational interventions.
I earned my Master's in Social Work from Fordham University Graduate School of Social Service, specializing in Crisis and Resilience. I have also received training in interpersonal psychodynamic psychotherapy at The William Alanson White Institute and EMDR through the
EMDR International Association. Choosing to start the path to healing is a courageous decision that deserves respect and support. I aim to be collaborative, straightforward, and down-to-earth in our work. Your guidance will shape how we use our time and space together. If you’d like to explore what this journey might look like for you, please call or email me to discuss how we can work together.
I look forward to starting this journey with you.
